The Finnish Lion – A Symbol of Courage and Perseverance

The Suomi-Finland knife features clean lines and carefully considered details. The design was first introduced in 1997, when Marttiini marked Finland’s 80th year of independence. In 2009, the knife was refined to achieve its current, more polished appearance.

At the end of the handle, the Finnish Lion cast pommel symbolizes strength, determination, and resilience. The same emblem is also featured on the leather sheath. The handle is made of curly birch, a natural material known for its unique grain and variation in tone. Each knife is therefore one of a kind.
