Traditional knives

Marttiini Traditional series knives respect Finnish knife making and handicraft skills, national designs and arctic region decoration traditions.

Lynx knives

The Lynx was the first knife to be made by Marttiini, and it has been in continuous production since the factory’s very beginning. The Lynx was awarded the “Best Product” award at the Viipuri Fair in 1932. The main characteristic of the Lynx is the blade’s curve. The slightly upturned blade tip makes it easier to lift a hot kettle from the camp fire. Lynx knives continue to be manufactured to the original Marttiini design.

Lapp Knives

The Lapp Knife is one of the most popular knives of the northern regions. Lapp knives are used for fire making, slicing frozen reindeer meat, and all kinds of carving and cutting. It is an excellent “wilderness knife”, perfect for hunting. Marttiini continues to produce the Lapp knife, which is a favourite of reindeer herders, in the same region of Finland where it was originally conceived.
