BLADE MARKING
You can buy blade marking to the most of our knives. The blade marking is shown as “Accessories” with every product that the marking is available. The maximum number of characters is 25.
With some products the marking is not possible due to size or material.
Write your marking in the shopping basket into the text field.
Note that the marking will be made exactly as you have written, so please check the spelling carefully. Please note also, that specially blade marking knives can only be returned if the marking has been performed erroneously.
GIFT BOXES
Most of the Marttiini knives can be delivered in a gift box. The suitable gift boxes are shown as “Accessories” with every product that the boxes are available. You can buy the gift box by adding it to the shopping basket by clicking the button “add to shopping basket”.
Some products have the gift box already included in the price. This is always mentioned in the products details.
DELIVERY
The products are shipped from the factory within a week after the confirmation of the order. You will receive an e-mail with shipping details after we have sent your order.
Finland:
The order is sent as Postal parcel.

The orders addressed to other EU countries are sent as Posti Parcel Connect or Posti Priority packages depending on the country.
The orders addressed toutside EU are sent by DHL.

DELIVERY TIME
The delivery time of the products will depend on each product. The delivery time will depend on the availability of the product and the shipping destination. The products are shipped from the factory within a week after the confirmation of the order. If the product is temporarily sold out, the service will mention that the product is not available. The final delivery time will depend on the shipping destination and the shipping schedules of the post.
Marttiini shall not be liable for delays in performing or failure to perform according to this Agreement or failure to fulfil any obligations hereunder, which are directly attributable to causes beyond Marttiini’s reasonable control (force majeur), including, but not limited to, acts of God, fires, strikes, labor disputes, war, acts or interventions by any governmental authority, failure of a common carrier, supplier, hardware, software, browser, or communications equipment, or network failure, congestion, or malfunction.
If the order includes many different products with different delivery times, the orders will be combined in one delivery and sent when all the products are ready.
Marttiini takes responsibility over the loss and damage of the product that has occurred during the delivery.
When ordering you need to be aware of customs risks associated with certain types of knives as you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods. This is why it is important to be aware of the knife laws of your country or province. We will do everything we can to make sure your item reaches you, but Marttiini is not responsible for orders delayed, seized or refused by your customs service. This is a responsibility and risk you agree to when you order.
Marttiini will not falsify package contents or value on customs forms. Customs forms for all international packages list the value of your order's contents by product type.
If the User notices that the package is damaged before opening it, please inform the party who delivered it. If the User has opened the package before seeing the damage, please inform Marttiini’s customer service. When the User returns products that do not have any damage, please note that the User shall be responsible for the damage that may occur while the product is in sent back to Marttiini.
The delivery time is dependent on the destination country:
Nordic countries 3–5 working days
Other European countries 3–7 working days
Other countries 6–14 working days
(The mailing date is not included)
THE COST OF DELIVERY
The delivery cost / order are as follows:
• Finland 7,99 € (pick up parcel)
• EU-countries starting from 9,60 €. The final delivery fee is dependable on the VAT rate of the destination country and will be shown at the checkout.
• Countries outside the EU 25 € / Fedex, with the exception of UK deliveries 49€ / UPS. (Note1. Please do not use P.O.BOX address. Note2: no deliveries to Russia)
All the product prices and delivery charges are displayed in euros (EUR).
All the product prices and delivery charges include 25,5% VAT in Finland. The prices of the product delivered elsewhere in EU are dependable on the VAT rate of the destination country. The prices with VAT are shown at the checkout after inserting the delivery address.
Other countries VAT 0%.
International customers are responsible for all taxes, duties and fees required by their customs services, which are levied once the package reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; Marttiini has no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; the User should contact the respective local customs office for further information.
SHOPPING CART AND ORDERING
Products are added to the shopping cart by clicking on the "Add to Cart" button. You can always modify the content of your shopping cart by clicking on the "Show Shopping Cart" icon on the sidebar. In the shopping cart, you can change the number of items or remove the product from the shopping cart.
Once you've done all the shopping you want, click on the “Check Out" button.
Provide the delivery address on the opening "Address" tab. If you wish, you may order products without registering, but you can also register for the service on this page. * -marked fields are mandatory information.
Press the "Next" button to access the "Delivery" tab, where you can choose a delivery method.
Press the "Next" button to access the "Payment" tab where you can choose a payment method.
Press the "Next" button to access the Check & Order tab. Check that all your order information is correct. If you wish, you can send notes regarding your order and delivery via the message field in this tab.
You must read and agree to the Terms of Sale and Use by clicking on the relevant item.
By clicking on the "Buy Now" button, you will go to pay the actual payment according to your chosen payment option.
After a successful payment transaction, you will receive an order confirmation message in your e-mail, from which you can still check the order's accuracy. If you wish, you can still ask for more information about your order by responding to this order confirmation email.
PAYMENT
Online Bank Payments
You can pay for your order using any of the online payment buttons of Finnish banks. When you are using the online bank codes provided by your own bank and you want to pay for your purchase, you will be redirected for a while to your own online bank where you can pay for your order directly from your bank account. The recipient for the payment is Svea Payments Oy (or our auxiliary business name Maksuturva Group Oy), that is the payment service provider in our web store.
Card Payments by Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard or Business Eurocard
Paying with a credit or debit card is always easy and safe in our web store. Card payments in our webstore are provided by Svea Payments Oy in cooperation with Payment Highway and Bambora AB. During the transaction, all card information will be handled through a secure connection. Card numbers are not recorded in Svea Payments Oy’s or the webstore’s systems; the card data is processed by the technical service provider Payment Highway.
Payments with the Siirto-app
Our web store offers easy and secure mobile payments using the Siirto-app. Siirto is a new version of online banking payments. Siirto-payments can be made via Nordea’s Siirto-app, Pivo-app and with OP-Mobile. When using a mobile device for payment, the Siirto-app you use opens automatically, while when using a computer’s browser, you can add your phone number in the space provided and accept the payment in the Siirto-app you use. The payment will be debited from the bank account you have saved in your Siirto-app.

CANCELLATION AND RETURNS
Consumers have the statutory right to cancel their order, return or exchange a product within fourteen (14) days of receiving the product, in accordance with applicable consumer protection legislation.
Consumers may also exercise their statutory right of withdrawal through the webshop's electronic withdrawal form.
The right of withdrawal applies provided that:

the order is cancelled within fourteen (14) days of receiving the product;

the product has not been used;
-
the product is returned in the same condition in which it was received, with all parts included; and
-
the product is returned in its original packaging.
The product should be returned to Marttiini as soon as possible after the cancellation notice has been submitted.
You may use the webshop's electronic withdrawal form or contact our customer service for further return instructions.

When returning products, the customer is responsible for the risk of damage during transportation. Marttiini will reimburse the return shipping costs for returns sent from Finland in accordance with the applicable return instructions.
If a return means that the original order no longer qualifies for a quantity discount, campaign discount, or a free promotional item, Marttiini reserves the right to adjust the refund accordingly. Any free promotional item received as part of the original order must also be returned. If the promotional item is not returned, Marttiini reserves the right to deduct its value from the refund.
Faulty or damaged products
Faulty goods or products damaged during transport must be reported to Marttiini Customer Service as soon as possible after receipt.
Marttiini will endeavour to replace any faulty or damaged product with an equivalent product. If this is not possible, the customer will be reimbursed in accordance with applicable consumer protection legislation.
The fault or damage must be clearly described and documented with appropriate photographs. Marttiini will not dispatch a replacement product or issue a refund until the fault or damage has been verified and, where applicable, the faulty product has been returned.
Please follow the instructions provided by Marttiini Customer Service regarding all claims and complaints.
The purchase price of returned products will be refunded to the original payment method as soon as the returned product has been received and inspected. Depending on the payment provider, the refund may take a few days to appear on your account.
Engraved products
Products with engraved blades may only be exchanged if the engraving has been carried out incorrectly.
Marttiini Custom Shop
Marttiini Custom Shop ("Custom by Marttiini") products are made according to the customer's individual specifications.
Custom Shop products must be paid for at the time of ordering. As these products are made to the customer's individual specifications, they are not subject to the statutory right of withdrawal or return.

ORDERING AND PAYMENT TERMS
After you have ordered your product, you will receive an automatic confirmation by email that your order has been received and accepted. The order confirmation will state the products you ordered and their price.
A binding sales agreement between the User and Marttiini is reached when the User receives an order confirmation e-mail.
Unless otherwise agreed by Marttiini, payment must be received by prior to the acceptance of an order.
REGISTRATION
Registration is not necessary in order to buy from Marttiini Web Shop but You get some advantages as a registered customer:
• Simple and easy - you only enter your information once.
• You will be kept up to date about your order.
• You can manage products in individual shopping lists, and much more.
WARRANTIES
A three (3) year limited warranty against manufacturing defects is offered on all standard furniture (materials and construction). Normal attrition and collateral damage is not covered by the warranty.

CHANGES TO THE SERVICE AND THIS AGREEMENT
Marttiini reserves the right to make changes to the Service, to policies, and this User Agreement at any time.
JURISDICTION AND DISPUTE SETTLEMENT
This User Agreement will be interpreted, construed and enforced in all respects in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Finland. Any contractual disputes are primarily settled through negotiations. Secondarily disputes are settled at the Rovaniemi District Court in Finland.
