Marttiini has four factory shops, three of which are in Rovaniemi and one in Helsinki. Factory shops offer the whole wide Marttiini range. The shops also offer secondary quality products for a good price.

OLD FACTORY, Rovaniemi

The Marttiini Old Factory is located right by the centre of Rovaniemi, next to Arktikum.

The building of the Marttiini Old Factory forms an essential part of the history of Rovaniemi city. It was built during the Winter War in 1940, but in the Lapland War the destruction of the city of Rovaniemi was also to become the destiny of this newish factory building. The building was saved from the destruction by a miracle. The attempted explosion was prevented by a brave young boy, who had hidden in the furnace of the factory and saw soldiers placing explosives in the building. The boy was able to prevent the complete destruction of the building. Though the factory had suffered bad fires, soon after the war it was renovated to its former splendour and the knife factory continued with its operations in these premises up to the early 1970s.
 
After a few decades of quiet life the building was restored under the supervision of the Finnish National Board of Antiquities in 1998 as the renovation site of the Rovaniemi Housing Fair. At the time also the Marttiini factory shop returned to its roots, still operating in these premises.

Santa Claus Village, Arctic Circle, Rovaniemi

The second factory shop in Rovaniemi is located in the Santa Claus Village at the Arctic Circle, where the magic of Christmas is present every day of the year. In the Santa Claus Village you can meet Santa Claus and get good quality Finnish souvenirs and presents from tens of special shops. The Marttiini factory shop is at the northern end of the main building.

The Santa Claus Village is open every day of the year, so that visitors could be enchanted by the different seasons in the Arctic Circle. There is nothing better than frolicking in the snow or bathing in the midnight sun.

The history of tourism in the area of the Arctic Circle started already in the early 1950s with the visit of the wife of the US president, Eleanor Roosevelt.
